In My Shoes

The series of ceramic shoes that were realized during Research Lab program in collaboration with Ethnographic museum in Stockholm, Sweden. During the research year the task was to explore museum's archives and make a project based on artistic research. My project is exploring the problematic of Ethiopian mass production of footwear in the factories founded by Chinese companies. Despite of huge number of manufactured shoes only 25% of the local population can afford footwear themselves. The ceramic shoes is a metaphor for absurdity of contemporary realities.

The project was finished with the exhibition in Ethnographic museum and a printed catalogue.
